Meet the woman behind the Happy Science Mom, Sandi Schwartz. Her pursuit of happiness is leading her to change the lives of children by helping parents raise them to be happy and whole. Let’s take a look at her blogger story  in her own words.

When did you start your blog?

September 2015

Why did you start your blog?

My happiness science journey began after I read Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project. This book inspired me to continue learning about happiness, and to put all of the wisdom I collect to good use in my own life. I then completed University of California Berkeley’s Science of Happiness course. I am now so intrigued by all things happiness, and am hooked to learning as much as possible about how we can all feel better so we can enjoy our lives to the fullest.

What is the purpose or theme of your blog?

Provide a toolkit for parents to raise happy, balanced children who can successfully manage stress and anxiety. I have expanded my blog to include an Eco Happiness Project to address green living issues as well because a happy earth leads to happy, healthy children.

How many blogs do you own?

I am focused on my one blog and freelance writing work that expands on many of the topics that I cover in my blog. I have considered starting a second blog about electric cars for moms, but decided I just don’t have enough time in the day and can still get my message out through my current blog and freelance articles.

What has been your biggest frustration with blogging?

My biggest frustration is keeping up with the marketing, mainly social media, to get readers. It has been a slow and steady process to gain readership over the last year and a half.

What has been your greatest blogging success?

Getting to the point in which I get paid now to write most of my posts or I at least incorporate some type of affiliate marketing in each post.

What is the most crucial step for you in growing your blog?

I plan to develop an e-book in the near future that I can sell through my blog and my newsletter followers.

Do you see yourself continuing with blogging in the future?

Yes, it is now a big part of who I am. It’s pretty much an addiction at this point, but a job that I truly enjoy doing everyday. It offers positive challenges and an opportunity for me to help make the world a better place through my writing.

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading the story of blogger Sandi Schwartz. Make sure you follow her blog so you can learn how to raise happy and confident children.

Gaining readers can be a hustle but you just have to share, share, share in the right places to attract the targeted people.

Raising kids is one tough job and nothing can beat that. Moms are the number one teacher a child can have. We never wished for perfect kids, when they grow up happy that would be our reward.

I sympathize with having to grow your audience and having to take the time to do that. It’s a lot of work at times and I don’t always understand whether I am making a difference. Ah well.

Children definitely need happiness in their lives, we all do! It’s great that Sandi is willing to teach parents how to provide that for their children.
