Welcome to the 4th week in this first round of blogger stories. I am excited to bring to a blogger that has been featured in Ebony Magazine, Disney Baby, Brides, Yahoo, and Style. She is called the Mama Motivator. Her name is Camesha Gosha from camesha.com.
Here is her blogger story in her own words.
How did you hear about blogging? What did you hear about blogging?
I stumbled into blogging as a new mom looking for answers on baby issues.
When did you start your blog?
I started blogging in 2011.
Why did you start your blog?
I started blogging to connect with other moms looking to hold on to their identity while being an awesome mama!
What is the purpose or theme of your blog?
My current blog is a lifestyle blog for moms that focuses on motivating moms to find and continue to follow our dreams.
How many blogs do you own?
I own just one blog.
What has been your biggest frustration with blogging?
My biggest frustration with blogging is how it’s changed over the years when it used to be more organic community building.
How has being featured on well-known sites enhanced your blogging career?
I think being featured on those sites definitely increased my visibility. Of course, it’s always great to be exposed to an audience who may not be familiar with you. I think those features also lend a bit of credibility. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes being recognized by a larger audience for audiences to take blogs more seriously.
What has been your greatest blogging success?
My greatest blogging success has been reaching moms who relate to my message and are inspired by it.
What is the most crucial step for you in growing your blog?
The most crucial step for growing my blog is growing while still keeping my core message intact. I really want my audience to grow organically. There have been opportunities to work with brands that could extend my reach but the brand wasn’t a good fit for my current audience or the message of the site.
Do you see yourself continuing with blogging in the future?
I definitely see myself continuing to blog in the future. It’s been a great outlet, business and relationship builder for me. I’ve made lots of real friends from blogging.
I enjoyed interviewing Camesha and finding out more about her blogger story. Make sure you take the time to get to know her on her blog at camesha.com.
